Welcome to the International Women's Association of Taichung!

 

IWAT has existed as a volunteer organization of international and local women since 1984.

It started with 12 members and last year had almost 100 members,

from more than 20 different countries!

 

IWAT’s goals are to help each other and the community in which we live.

Our motto has always been: Friends Make a Difference!

 

Our monthly and annual activities:

 

• Volunteer opportunities to share your time and talents

• Weekly activities based on the interests of members

• Holiday parties and fundraising events

 

Annual membership dues allow us to provide:

 

• IWAT Membership Card (Yoyo/EasyCard with $100 cash value deposit)

• Gift for your birthday (given at the luncheon of your birthday month)

• End-of-year benefits and gifts

• Charity funds

• All functioning costs of the organization

 

You are always welcome to invite guests and friends to attend activities with you.

A non-member activity fee will apply in some instances.

• When RSVPs are needed, events are posted on the IWAT LINE group or under "Upcoming Events" on our website

• Facebook page - Iwat Taiwan - a place to tag photos and connect with other members

• IWAT LINE group - also a place to share photos, ask questions, and get reminders

• Other Special Interest LINE groups such as “IWAT Hiking” and “IWAT Book Club," which you can sign up for by emailing our president (see below).
